We hope the frequently asked questions (FAQs) listed below provide all the information not included in the individual cottage pages. If we have missed anything please let us know.

What are the payment terms?

A £250 deposit is due at the time of your booking. The balance is due 70 days before your holiday. If your booking is made less than 70 days before your holiday, the full rental payment will be payable. Payments can be made via credit/debit card, bank transferl or GBP cheque. The £275 security deposit is pre-authorised against your credit/debit card 7 days before your holiday. Providing there are no damages during your stay, the money will be released within 14 days of your stay.

Do you make an additional charge for credit and debit card payments?

We do NOT pass on any bank charges or card processing fees to our guests. To remain compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), we are unable to provide card payment receipts. For your records, you will be e-mailed a card payment notification and summary of your booking showing all card payments received.

Are dogs allowed?

Well behaved, house trained dogs are welcome by arrangement. Two dogs are permitted in Clayhanger Lodge and Furlongs. One dog is permitted in Merry Hill Barn.. An additional charge of £30 per dog, per week or weekend stay is payable. We respectfully request dogs are kept off the furniture, out of the bedrooms and not left alone in the property. All our cottages have private enclosed gardens. Dog waste must be removed from the garden and public areas.

Is there mobile phone signal?

Clayhanger Lodge – Limited mobile phone signal.

Merry Hill Barn – Reasonable mobile phone signal.

Furlongs – Very good mobile phone signal.

Is there WiFi?

All our cottages have free WiFi. There is fibre broadband in Abbotsbury  but please note, speeds in rural Dorset are not as quick as those in urban areas.

What are the arrival and departure times?

Arrival from 4pm. Departure by 10am.

What is included?

Beds dressed on arrival (with goose feather and down duvets and pillows), towels (not bath sheets or beach towels), electricity, gas (where applicable), water, central heating, WiFi, DVDs, Tassimo machine, vacuum cleaner, oven gloves, tea towels, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, clothes airer. Christmas tree during Christmas week and New Year week.

Do you provide cleaning materials?

One loo roll per bathroom, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, washing up liquid, liquid hand soap, dish cloth, sponge scourer, two kitchen bin liners, kitchen spray cleaner, kitchen towel.

Do you provide hypoallergenic bedding?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer alternative bedding. Beds will be dressed using Egyptian cotton sheets with goose feather and down duvets and pillows. These can be removed on request.

What do you provide for children?

We provide one high chair in each property. We do not provide travel cots, stair gates, bed guards, babysitters or toys.

What do I need to do?

Please ensure that windows are closed, doors are locked, bins are emptied, dishwasher is unpacked and washing up is completed prior to your departure. Please leave the property as you found it for the enjoyment of others.
