Furlongs is a stone built farm steading that was completed in June 2019. It is furnished to a very high standard, combining comfort, traditional features and modern style. This stunning property sits between the impressive coastal feature of St Catherine’s Chapel and the picturesque village of Abbotsbury. Set at the end of a quiet lane, Furlongs is within easy walking distance of Chesil Beach, the South West Coast Path, village shops, pubs, tea rooms and a children’s play park. There is covered parking for 3 cars plus additional parking on the gravel drive and electric car charging point.
Accommodation:
Furlongs sleeps 10 in 3 super king sized bedrooms and two twin rooms (with zip and link beds that can be made into a super king beds upon request). There is a spacious open plan living area with 65” FreeSat smart tv, an electric wall mounted living flame fire and a further family living area with 55” FreeSat smart TV with sound bar and DVD player. The bespoke, well equipped kitchen has a natural limestone tiled floor, twin ovens and an American fridge freezer, this leads to the large, airy and light filled dining space for 10 with French doors leading onto the terrace and garden.
Two of the bedrooms are downstairs, both are ensuite, one has a zip and link bed so can be made up as a twin or super king room. One has its own private furnished terrace with fabulous views up to St Catherine’s Chapel. All the beds are dressed in high thread count cotton linen and goose down duvets and pillows for ultimate comfort. All the bathrooms are fully tiled with sensor lighting and fluffy Egyptian cotton bath sheets are provided for our guests.
A beautiful glass panelled oak staircase leads up to three further bedrooms, one ensuite bedroom with super king bed, a fabulous family bathroom with freestanding bath, walk in shower and double basins. There is a further bedroom with super king bed and one with zip and link single beds. All bedrooms have 43” FreeSat smart TV’s.
The lawned garden is fully enclosed with a stone wall and 5 bar gate. There is outdoor dining set for ten as well as a covered lounging and games area. We welcome two dogs by prior arrangement (charges apply).
